My wife Kim and I have worked most of our lives in corporate environments, the last ten plus years in the area of human capital development, focusing on concepts like emotional intelligence and behavioral analysis and development.
We decided the time was right to transition to our second act and use our experience and energy to serve teenagers in the latter years of high school and first few years of college. In October of 2015, we launched eq-Aware, a company that provides emotional intelligence assessment and development for teenagers from an online platform.
We continue to work with a select group of public and private sector organizations to make sure we continue to ‘sharpen the saw’ and have a clear understanding of what skill set we need to help young people develop and prepare for their future. Our focus is to make sure the teens participating in our program are developing the emotional as well as the cognitive skills necessary to be successful and happy in life.
